The situation was desperate. My English teacher warned us of the consequences, but I took no heed. I was in an insurmountable situation, yet I had to persevere. The next two weeks were going to be the impossible, as I had to read an English work from the Shakespearean age and be able to write a critical analysis from seven to ten pages in length! I read my subject matter, "As You Like It," by William Shakespeare, in about fours hours one afternoon, but erroneously put off the task of writing a coherent paper to a mere four days. Being the final paper of the semester, I have no idea what the final grade was, but I can imagine it was not my best work.

The reason I decided to make a web site dedicated to my writings are simple, I love English, even though I am an art major; and also because when I searched the net for input, everyone demanded compensation for their information. Keyword "Shakespeare" only directed me to sites that charged for their term papers, with no validity of their merit or worth. I was appalled by people actually doing this, for I thought that was something out of fiction, and to find out it really existed disgusted me. To ease the pain of others in a similar situation, I have provided my papers- free of charge. I am no Hemingway, most of these are a good "B" papers. My intention of releasing my papers on the net is to provide others, like myself, a model on which to compose their own papers and promote new ideas.

Though small in scale at the moment, as I progress in college, papers will be updated as they are completed.  In addition to my term papers, I will also release my journals and "reflections" on a variety of different topics. Do not worry, a person's writings are their reputation and I strive very hard not to write crap.

Updates:

04/26/03- Three new papers for the early part of 2003.
Peaceful Burdens: The Escapement of Life in Plath's "Tulips."
Empirical Mishaps: Science in Percy's Love in the Ruins and Ellison's The Invisible Man.
Assumptions of the Disillusioned Patriarchal Figure: Shakespeare's "King Lear."

10/08/02-
Finally, a new paper! This one is my infamous paper on Picasso, which was written last fall but has been edited and released with full biographical information for those that are interested in my sources.

06/19/02- Updated this site for a larger screen resolution and made these pages more user-friendly.

11/22/01- Added Baroque Compare paper.
