R.I.P. (1997-2001)
166 MHZ Pentinum MMX

Yesterday the power supply gave way on the computer that I have used since this web page's inception into the world. I have decided it was time to upgrade anyways, and will this christmas replace it with a faster, more reliable model. Till then, I will be using my brother's 450 PIII machine. It has sat next to my machine now for months, but as I have stated in a previous rant, "A computer is like a pizza, its only as good as what is on it!"

11/25/01- 12:45 AM
Added a different color scheme to the scroll bars. Moved the camping pictures to thatsstupid.net server. Added a webcam and future pictures page. Changed my mind about the links button on top. Since that feature has not yet been implemented, I decided to use that space for my expanding pictures.

10:00 PM
New music has arrived to the guitar page! Check out my latest guitar out takes.

11/24/01- 2:30 PM
Updated several pages to the new format. Those affected were Emmanuel's pics, John Lake's Sears joke, and the Me Page. For those cared, sales were up. Yet, only by a small margin, not the growth we were looking for this year. Is the recession close to the end? Its time for sleep.

11/23/01- 4:30 AM
For those that have to work today, best wishes with "Black Friday!"
Maybe I should of gotten more than three hours sleep, damn this site and my revisions!

6:00 PM
I survived "Black Friday!" Sales seemed to be down, will not know until I check the numbers tomorrow. This site gets a major cosmetic change. For some reason, I just felt this site needed some color. Please be patient with the new color scheme, I am deciding what looks best through feedback and advice from others. Feel free to write comments to Damon Jasso.

11/22/01- 2:30 AM
Added another term paper to the Writings page. This paper was a compare and contrast on three baroque artists. Considering baroque art is not my favorite, this paper is not my best work. Also, I have included a download section to my Writings page. This addition caters to those who want my paper in word format for their own purposes and portability.

11:10 PM
Updated the graphics again. The java buttons are dead for now, until I have some more time to include them.

11/21/01-
6:30 PM

Uploaded a preliminary version of my classical page. In the future, how many times have I said that statement, it will content my entire library of classical music, complete with performers, record labels, and selections. I have planned for its ambitious schedule of completion for next week. Wish me luck, I have about 200 classical cds!

The previous incarnation of my layout has always plagued me for several reasons. In an effort for color unity and balance, I created those orange gradients. Yet, those particular gradients never seemed to work out for me and have been removed. Another hindrance, being the white border around everything, has also been changed to a more subtle gray. Many will call this transition a simplification, but in "simplicity there is beauty." I will in future updates nix the Java buttons for a more download friendly site.

11/06/01- 9:00 AM
Updated the Writings page again. This time, following the guitar page, it has an orange gradient on the left side. Also changed the news layout to better suit the information. My review of Jeff Beck's last cd has been revised and moved to the thatsstupid.net server. I also updated and changed the review of Geddy Lee's latest cd to the server. The new Geddy page is a significant revision from the original.

11/05/01 - 11:00 PM
Customized the blue scroll bar on the guitar page even further. Only if I had time for the new music?

11/05/01- 9:20 am
Noticed on the new Writings
page, the subtle rollover for the links. Incorporated that idea for the main page.

11/04/01- 11:45 pm

Basic maintenance tonight on the web site. Fixed some nagging cosmetics that have plaque numerous pages. Surely there has to be a script I can create to update this entire site at once, instead of individually. In that, it is extremely time consuming adding such subtle nuances to all these pages. However, I did a nice revision of the Writings page. The colors have been changed and a nice bar graces the right side for those that have explorer six. Slowly, everything is getting moved to the new server. Tonight, the
Writings page finally makes it over.

11/02/01- (11:00 pm)
Caught Jet Li's latest flick "The One." Being that I was dog tired when I saw it, it did not impress me. Watching Jet Li kick ass is always a delight, but one can overlook a weak script for only so long. One pleasant surprise was that Trevor Rabin, another one of my guitar heroes, wrote another brilliant score for the movie.

10/28/01- (2:00 PM)
Instead of uploading new
guitar music, I decided to utilize that not functional previous bar. Long time visitors to the site will need not bother, but new acquaintances might like to take a look. I have it posted as a means of traveling down memory lane to recall the paths that I have chosen to take.

10/28/01- (9:00 AM)
Fixed an annoying error on the new camping page. Also, added a nice new gradient to the guitar page.

10/26/01- (9:00 AM)
Added a nifty colored scroll bar for those that have IE6. Updated the cAMping page to the new format. Also, added new logo for the "me" page. Today is the big day, stay tuned!

10/25/01- (8:00 AM)
On the seventh day he rested! Finally, I get a day off from work! I go to college full time, but the things we do for money always affects our lives. After about three months on the thatstupid.net server, I have redirected my older version of this page from the prodigy server to this one. Embarrassing, a lot of dead links and wrong routes still plaque this site.

10/24/01- (9:00 AM)
I know I should not have, in the midst of bills, and lack of time, but I bought a DreAMcast. For 50 bucks this vato got four gAMes, two controllers, a rumble pack, and a save gAMe pack. "SEGA!"

10/21/01- (7:00 AM)
Updated the guitar page. It has not died, I have been just doing a thousand other things. I have to remember when I update one page, I need to update all the others?

(5:00 AM) Who says you do not use what you learn from college? In my public speaking class, our group was given a project based on economics. Now this vato will utilize theories and formulas, such as the ATC, profit level of maximization, and other devices to present our project. "So why in the hell are you telling us, DAMon?" Because we are making an interactive presentation to go with it, that might just land on this site. Stay tuned!

10/20/01- (10:00 AM)
The server was down. DAMn it! It is back up, sorry for the inconvenience. I had no idea people even cAMe to this site, until everyone commented that the site was down. Added Emmanuel's Picture on the Mardi Gras page. That page should just about complete, depends if Emmanuel wants to add comments or reflections about his trip. In my opinion that page seems a little bare, no pun intended.

10/19/01- (12:00 PM)
Inspired by my logo of Emmanuel's Pictures, I have added a new one for the fitness page as well. It looks like the fitness page will updated sooner than I had anticipated, more details as events happen.

10/18/01- (5:00 AM)
Before this vato gets on his daily cardio, another update. I AM on a roll this week. My latest term paper, on King TutankhAMen, is added to the writings page.

10/17/01- (11:00 AM)
Changed the logo on Emmanuel's Mardi Gras pics. Some folks thought it was my invention. I merely made the html and scanned the pictures. The honor of taking those images and being there goes to my bud Emmanuel.

10/16/01- (9:20 AM)
Updated the fitness page. Currently on both servers, thatstupid.net and prodigy.net, two different incarnations of my fitness page coexisted. I have combined both pages into one with the new standard layout. Now if I was not so busy at the gym, I might have a chance to update the information.

10/15/01- (12:00PM)
Fixed a careless error on Emmanuel's Pictures.

10/14/01- (10:00PM)
Finally, after months of talking about it, I have uploaded Emmanuel's Mardi Gras pictures. Warning: nudity on this site.
Emmanuel's Pictures

(10:23PM) Updated the 99 ways to get fired at Sears text to fit the new design. I still need to go through it and edit the text for grAMmatical errors, one day DAMnit.
99 ways

10/09/01- (11:30PM)
Added some long overdue pictures from a party in August.
Stephanie's Bro's Party

09/11/01- (11:30AM)
May we mourn those that have lost their lives today.

07/30/01- Released more music on the guitar page. A simple three minute experiment with my delay pedal. I call this one "Ambient." Go to the guitar page for more details.

07/22/01- Received the grades from my second session. Commenting earlier about the prospect of earning a "C" in microeconomics, was thankfully a wrong assumption. The grade received was a "B," and I will take it!

07/20/01- Pictures from my camping trip.

07/10/01- Well this summer session was just as brutal as the first one. Only time will tell what I made in microeconomics. I should skim by with a "C," which might depress some but I made an "A" in art appreciation. If I did not make an "A" in that class, someone shoot me, its my major? Yet, I finally got around to releasing my last paper written for British Literature II. Being another "14 characteristics of Romanticism in Conrad's Heart of Darkness," it does not offer much excitement. Although I made a 100 on it, I felt at times grasping for my explanations.

07/05/01- More Out-takes! Finally, I have gotten around to finding some abandoned tapes and have decided to release them unedited. These abandoned themes range from my attempts last winter/spring 2000/01. Also, I have decided to re-release "Somber" as is, no revisions.

06/20/01- My friends know my dedication to physical fitness. Yet, after self-reflection, I have decided to supplement. Being a healthy vato now for over a year, I cannot raise myself out of the 140 lb. weight class. The supplement of choice is creatine. Wish me luck.

06/19/01- Got my grade back from Macroeconomics, it was a "B." Considering I was concerned with even passing the class two weeks ago, I will take it!

06/04/01- Are you starting to see a pattern here? Today I start not one, but two classes. The first one being microeconomics! Just when I thought the hell was over! A quote from Conrad's Heart of Darkness, "THE HORROR! THE HORROR!" The second class does interest me, being that it is art appreciation. The only problem is the unworkable schedule. One class is at 7:30 am, the other at 6:30pm. Makes my workouts unbearable as I have to do split routines everyday.

06/01/01- I have survived a three week minimester! The first class being macroeconomics, was a something I do not want to repeat. Coming off straight A's in the spring semester, I am praying for a "C" on the first summer class!

5/20/01- A quarter of a century is a landmark. For instance, in the beginning of the twentieth century, a quarter of a century had spanned two world wars. Another example, is the strides of technology, which are too numerous to mention. Most, cannot even imagine living such a duration, but I have. Today, is my twenty-fifth birthday.

05/11/01- I think at the time I was smoking crack, because something compelled me to take 17 credit hours over the summer break. College ended this Friday, and the summer session begins this Monday. The only good news is that, if I successfully finish all these hours, by Christmas I will have earned my second associate's degree. People are asking, "Why, Damon, Why?" If you made straight A's, would you not want to keep the momentum going further. My summers are usually spent composing my music and art, this summer unfortunately will be scholastic.

04/30/01- I finally got around to acquiring a new picture. It was taken at wrestlemania X-7. Being at that event, demonstrates just another unorthodox interest in my range of hobbies. In conjunction with that picture, an updated biography has also been created. Although unfinished, the "me" page will represent a cultivation of my ideals and beliefs.

04/24/01- Measured my fat content again, being it is the end of the semester. The results were favorable, very favorable. I started the class with 8.5%. I managed, through no alcohol during lent, to drop down to 6.5%! Those that are interested, I started last august at 21%, then in December down to 10.3%!

04/23/01- Got back my paper, Frankenstein, and am pleased to report that it was a 100! Two of the four classes this semester are a 100 average! Not bad for this Hispanic. The classes that are a 100 average are GYM II and survey of English literature II. This week I shall be writing another paper, based on the characteristics of "Romanticism," on Conrad's Heart of Darkness.

04/18/01- Due mainly from self doubt and apprehension about my latest recording, I have removed "Somber" until further notice. The only reason I rushed such a piece was because of the significant revision of the guitar page. The feedback, although fair, and without harsh complaints, was not overwhelming enough to ensure its success.

04/17/01- I month has almost passed and not one update! Having straight A's in college, takes a considerable amount of time to maintain. Well, maybe not that much time, but enough to hinder updates on this web site. What has been really eating up the time has been trying to get my piece of sh_t car to pass inspection and my passion with fitness, not the muscle bound side of it, but the benefits of all around good health. I did manage to upload a recent English paper, utilizing the fourteen characteristics of Romanticism, on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

03/21/01- I am back in college and this week will yield no updates until the weekend. Having two major exams this week, does not leave much time for anything else. Yet, I did fix two errors in my html code, thanks to be friend JD's advice.

03/16/01- In an effort to study more effectively, I have released the Fourteen Characteristics of Romanticism on the writings page. Close friends would remember this is not my first endeavor in releasing notes online, as I unsuccessfully released a chapter of my biology notes over a year ago.

03/15/01- I had anticipated uploading some more guitar music today, but my new puppy seems to like wires and ate my 1/4" plug with 2 RCA jacks. The new track shall be more modern in sound and more appealing to those that ask, "Do I ever plug it in?" After some self reflection, I had noticed on my guitar page that the ballads out weighs the rock. Expect something harder to demonstrate my electrical, or "plugged in," abilities. Other news, I have revised and released yet another writing which is a summary of the John Updike's short story "A&P."

03/14/01- Currently revising and expanding the classical page, but did not meet my deadline of uploading something new every day. Hell, I needed a break!

03/13/01- Added another new web page based on fitness. Very preliminary right now, but tomorrow is another day. Those that know me, in the real world, know that I am a huge fan of health and fitness.

03/12/01- Corrected basic grammatical mistakes on this page. More pages on the way this week, but a forty hour work week and my fitness routine are hindering to my creative output.

03/11/01- Finally getting around to updating all these new pages one by one. I have not had such a drive to complete this site since its origin two years ago. I thank my friend Jerry, for bitching at me to move my site over to his server, and will mirror all my files there shortly. Today the updates were numerous, which leads me to a brief discussion of the changes. Ever since I have uploaded my writings online, I knew it would not be complete for sometime now. Today I extensively revised my own short story, "Cathedral Blind," and corrected basic grammatical errors from my only online critical analysis of "A Farewell To Arms." Other changes were a complete overhaul of my review of the Geddy Lee CD.

03/10/01- Asking for comments from my friend JD, I was obliged to follow his suggestion and made a minor update on my review of Jeff Beck's latest CD.

03/07/01- A new, but fragmentary, guitar composition is released on the guitar page. I call it "Somber" and it is not my best work. Yet, it is new! It has been over a year since I have uploaded new music.

03/01/01- Went to see my guitar hero, Jeff Beck, at the Aerial Theater in Houston, Texas. Read my review of Jeff Beck's latest CD, "You had it Coming."
